Bud’s Growery — Field Notes — 21+
Can’t Be Assed
A short, unsentimental defense of the pre-roll, for people who have looked at a grinder and thought “no.”
Rolling is a skill. It is not a difficult skill. It is, however, a skill that requires you to be sitting down, sober-ish, in decent light, with clean hands and something flat.
Most people meet exactly none of those conditions at the moment they want a joint.
That is the entire argument for this collection. Not craft. Not ritual. Not some story about how the process is part of the experience. You wanted one, you didn’t want to build one, somebody already built it. Done.
Two animals, one disagreement about light
The tip is lit. The sun is lit. That’s two lit things pointed directly at my face.
Too many damn photons for me.
Heh. Not enough for me.
I’ve got eight lenses.
Nobody likes that about you.
Why a jar instead of a bag
Blunt version: convenience, consistency, and the fact that a sealed jar doesn’t care that you got home at midnight.
- No prep. No grinder, no papers, no tips, no tray, no swearing.
- Portion control by default. One pre-roll is one unit. You know exactly what you took out.
- Portable. Sealed child-resistant jar. It goes in a bag and it stays sealed.
- Consistent burn. Machine-packed beats a hand-rolled cone made at 2am, and we’re all adults here.
- Freshness. Glass with a seal holds moisture better than a bag you’ve opened forty times.
The counter-argument is that you give up control over the grind and the size. That’s true. If that matters to you, buy flower. We sell that too and we’re not going to pretend otherwise to close a sale.

People buy the small one because the number is smaller. That is the only reason. I have made peace with nothing about this.
Small jar fits in a pocket. Big jar doesn’t. That’s also a reason.

Frequently asked, plainly answered
Is a pre-roll weaker than what I’d roll myself?
Not inherently. Strength comes from the material and any infusion, not from who rolled it.
The Liquid Diamonds cones are built with concentrate alongside flower, which puts them above a plain flower joint of the same weight. Check the cannabinoid panel on the COA rather than guessing from format.
Do pre-rolls go stale?
Yes, eventually. Terpenes fade and the wrap dries out.
Keep them in the sealed jar, reseal after every open, and store cool, dark and dry. Don’t leave a glass jar on a dashboard. That degrades the contents and occasionally the jar.
Can I take one out and put it somewhere else?
You can, but the jar is the storage. A loose pre-roll in a pocket gets crushed, dried, and covered in lint within a day.
If you’re carrying one, carry the jar. That’s the whole point of the 5-count.
Can I eat one, or break it open for something else?
No. These are labeled not for ingestion and that’s meant literally.
They’re manufactured to be smoked. The wrap and the infusion aren’t formulated for eating, and absorption through the gut behaves nothing like inhalation. Don’t improvise.
What’s the difference between the 1G and 2G jars beyond size?
Count, weight, price per gram, and portability.
- 1G × 5 — smaller session, easier to carry, $7.60/g.
- 2G × 10 — larger session, four times the total material, $4.50/g.
The 2G cones are also concentrate-built and terpene-enhanced, so they aren’t simply a bigger version of the same thing.
Is this legal?
Both products are hemp-derived and produced to comply with the 2018 Farm Bill — not more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight. That’s the federal floor.
State and local law varies considerably and Delta-8 in particular is treated differently across states. Know your own jurisdiction. We block what we can’t ship.
Where’s the lab work?
Third-party tested by batch — full cannabinoid panel plus contaminant screening. The COA is linked on the product page and referenced on your shipping label, and the batch code on the jar matches the paper.
No COA, or codes that don’t match? Don’t smoke it. Contact us.
Will this show up on a drug test?
It very well might. Delta-8 products are among the most likely to produce a positive on standard THC screening.
Tested for work, sport, probation, custody, or licensing? Don’t use these. Individual results can’t be predicted by us or anyone else.
How old do I have to be?
21+. Verified at checkout, adult signature may be required on delivery. No exceptions.
How discreet is the packaging?
Plain unmarked outer mailer. No brand graphics, no product names on the outside. Glass gets padded for transit.
Order before the daily cutoff and it goes out the same business day.
